Malcolm is Senior Counsel, Business and Legal Affairs at Hartbeat, a robust entertainment company named after its founder, Kevin Hart, which focuses on comedic entertainment across film, television, podcasts, live events, and other mediums. At Hartbeat, Malcolm works directly with the Studios team and manages their slate from inception through delivery. Before joining Hartbeat, Malcolm was an associate at Business Affairs, Inc., where he worked on a variety motion picture and television projects, serving mainly as production counsel but also assisting producers and distributors with a wide range of agreements during development, production, and through delivery and distribution. Malcolm graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 2016 with his J.D. and an Intellectual Property Certificate. In his third year, Malcolm also served as the President of his law school’s Negotiation and Dispute Resolution Society. Before attending law school, Malcolm graduated from New York University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science. Malcolm is a licensed attorney in the State of California.
